Breed Profile
The Bolognese Dog is a small breed of dog of the bichon type, hailing from Italy. As the name suggests, its origin can be traced to the central North Italian city of Bologna. It is part of the Toy dog group and is considered a companion dog. They crave attention, and make good house pets. They excel at socializing with other kinds of dogs, regardless of size. They forge strong bonds with the person/s of their surroundings.
Temperament
The Bolognese are known to be playful, laidback, earnest, eager. smart, and loyal. They are not known to be hyperactive and are usually more withdrawn than the Bichon Frise. The Bolognese is very responsive to obedience training. They are very intelligent, eager and fast to pick up new things, fun to train, however they can be very obstinate when not getting their way.
