Color & Coat

Coat: Its weather-resistant coat consists of a soft, close undercoat and an imposing, harsh outer coat. Furnishing around the face confers it a somewhat foxy expression.

Color: Color of their coat can be black, cream, wheaten, red, sandy, gray, or brindled in any of these colors. Pure black, black and tan, and white are not permitted by many kennel clubs.

Living Environment

The Cairn Terrier will fare well in an apartment provided it receives its daily dose of exercise. It is very active indoors and will do okay without a yard. This breed is good with children as it is known to be playful, energetic, and affectionate around them. As long as the breed indulges in playful activities, it will get its daily fix of exercise.
