Norwich Terrier

Breed Profile

The Norwich Terrier is a breed of dog which hails from the United Kingdom, and was bred to hunt small vermin or rodents. With a bubbly personality, Norwich Terriers are today mostly a companion dog breed. One of the smallest terriers, these dogs enjoy good health. They are relatively rare, because of their low litter size and the common need for cesarean sections. Their drop-eared variety is the Norfolk Terrier.

Temperament

These small but robust dogs can be strong-willed, smart and friendly. They can be commanding  but it is not typical for them to be aggressive, hostile or shy. They brim with energy and thrive if given an opportunity to have an active life. They are also known to have a voracious appetite. They are eager to please although can be quite obstinate.
